LOCATION: Ruaha National Park is one of the world's most pristine, off-the-beaten-track wildlife havens and a true African wilderness. This park is home to an abundance of wildlife, set within a diverse and interesting landscape punctuated with gigantic baobab trees, rocky hills, open grass plains and miombo forest. Located far off the obvious tourist circuit in the South of Tanzania.

SETTING: The camp is set along the banks of the Jongomero River, with vantage points from public spaces and suites offering the chance to observe elephants, kudus, baboons, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

ACCOMMODATION:  The Private Bush Manor can accomodate 4-8 guests. It has two comfortable tented suites, connected to a spacious living room by covered passageways. Luxuriate in four-poster beds, bone inlay furniture, antique silk carpets and beautiful freestanding brass bathtubs. For larger parties, two additional tented suites are located close by and can be connected to the main Bush Manor. Bed linen, bathrobes and bathroom amenities are all organic.

HIGHLIGHTS: I was impressed by the remote setting far from any other camps, the exceptional natural beauty of Ruaha, the prolific wildlife and the one-of-a-king Thermal Bush Spa set in the middle of nowhere!

ACTIVITIES: Morning and afternoon or full-day game drives with a private guide and vehicle, walking safari (seasonal from July to mid December, from 16 years old), Night safaris and bathing in natural pools of volcanic hot springs water at our Bush Thermal Spa (drinks, towels & sunbeds). Optional activities at an extra cost include Fly Camping (seasonal July 15th - November 15th / from 16 years old- minimum 2 guests), Laba Jongomero Bush Thermal Spa Treatments and Hot-air Balloon Safari  (ca. June 15th to October 31st).

CHILD POLICY:  Minimum age is 5 years, but we can consider hosting younger children at the condition they stay within the Bush Manor premises under the supervision and responsibility of an adult. Please liaise our reservations team for details.

GETTING THERE: Guests will be collected by vehicle at Jongomero Airstrip, which is 5 minutes drive from camp. Coastal Aviation, Auric and Safari Airlink fly to Jongomero Airstrip from Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Seronera or Zanzibar, Nyerere and Mafia. Approximate flight time from Dar es Salaam is between 1 hour 20 mins and 2 hours 30 mins (depending on type of aircraft and number of stops).
