LOCATION: Laba Migration Camp is the most luxurious mobile camp in the Serengeti, immersing guests in the atmosphere of the first, authentic safaris circa the end of the 19th century. The camp moves three times a year to be close to the Great Migration herds.
The South: From 10 December to 31 March / Airstrip Ndutu
The West : 15 May to 30 June / Airstrip both Kirawira and Grumeti
The North : from 10 July to 20 November / Airstrip Kogatende
SETTING: Laba Migration Camp strategically sets up close to the herds, but also as far as possible from others to ensure that guests get the most exclusivity possible. Beautiful campsites are carefully picked and reserved far ahead to maximize getting away from others.
ACCOMMODATION: Laba Migration Camp has 10 tents: 8 double and 2 family tents, each with 2 connecting rooms via a corridor. Bedding can be converted into twin configuration. The intimate camp can accommodate up to 22 guests and employs 50 staff. Bed linen, bathrobes and bathroom amenities are all organic.
HIGHLIGHTS: I liked the emphasis on a setting far from any other camps, the unique style and comfort of the camp, the exceptional team running the camp and of course the timeless experience of seeing the Great Migration herds.
ACTIVITIES: Morning and afternoon or full-day game drives with a private guide and vehicle, walking safaris (seasonal as conditions allow), Bush breakfast and bush sundowner cocktails are included and, when in the South, an excursion to Olduvai Gorge and Shifting can be arranged. An optional highlight I always recommend when close to the migration is a Hot Air Balloon Safari.
CHILD POLICY: Minimum age is 5 years

From 16 years plus , 1 child on his own in a room is permitted: full adult rate applies
